Clinical Documentation : VirtualScrivener services involve providing healthcare providers a with secured HIPAA compliant applications  that enables them to receive assistance via a remote scribe in documenting the clinical encounter into their patients’ Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and providing of medical transcription services related to the same. Compared to self documenting into the EHR themselves, VirtualScrivener services saves healthcare providers time, allows them to better focus on the patient and improves the quality of medical documentation. When we provide these services, we are subject to a federal medical privacy law called HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). Users of our services must agree to additional terms in order to use our services in compliance with HIPAA. We are classified as a Business Associate under HIPAA, and that law’s protections apply to all patient information we access.

Any personal information collected through our website is not subject to HIPAA, which is why this Privacy Statement describes the privacy practices and protections applicable to personal information we collect online.
